Elected "best sports meet on the planet" in 2005, the Golden Gala is a spectacular annual athletics event and part of the IAAF Golden League Circuit. Athletes from all over the world will compete in the following specialties: 100m, 800m, 1500m, 3000m, 5000m, 100m hurdles, 300m steeplechase, long jump, javelin and high jump. The best athletes in the world will provide excitement and entertainment.

Over 800 athletes from over twenty countries, among which Belgium, England, Germany, Switzerland, Brazil, Canada, USA, Australia, Japan and South Africa. "Twirling" implies something between "turning and whirling", and in fact the discipline of twirling is practiced by whirling a stick and moving harmoniously at the same time to the rhythm of music. International groups will meet in this sporting championship held against the backdrop of a Hospitality Village replete with gastronomic, shopping and promotional stands.

Professional athletes and amateurs will challenge one another in beach tennis on the Roman beaches. There will be music, games and surprises for kids during the competition, and at the end of the day's competition a happy hour will start the evening's events. The finals will take place in Rome, after which an awards ceremony will take place, followed by musical performances by saxophonists and drummers. 15-16 Jul; 26-27 Aug; 9-10 Sep. Admission free.
