An opera in three acts that is inspired by Georg Büchner’s drama Woyzeck by; the libretto and music is by Alban Berg. The main protagonists are Janice Baird and Eilana Lappalainen, who alternate in the role of Marie, whereas Jean-Philippe Lafont plays the part of Woyzeck, and finally Kristjan Johannsson and Richard Decker take on the role of the Drum Major. Shakespeare’s love story Rome and Juliet is set in Italy and full of Italian references. He created a masterpiece that is timeless and still manages to enthral audiences. The cast and crew of 400 people – including choreographers, singers, corps de ballet, instrumentalists, set designers – has brought a new and exciting version of Romeo and Juliet to the stage. The combined talents of Riccardo Cocciante and Pasquale Panella wrote, respectively, music and words. This latest rendition of the harrowing story of the Veronese lovers is sharp, intense and extraordinary in all its facets – from the light to the costumes – and is a brilliant work of art in its own right. www

One of the dance world’s major figures - Julio Bocca – is coming to Italy on his last tour. Prior to his farewell performance – which takes place on 22 December – this exceptional ballet dancer will perform together with "Ballet Argentino", of which he is the art director, and with star dancer Cecilia Figaredo. The live music is by Gardel, Piazzolla, Aieta, Canaro, Discepolo, Francini, Stampone, Pugliese, Charlo, Expòsito, Caprio and Mores. The former first dancer of the “American Ballet Theatre” will make us dream.
