From 8 to 11 Nov: Sylvie Guillem e Akram Khan in "Sacred Monsters"
Sacred Monsters is first and foremost the meeting and exchange of two stars of the present day dance world: Sylvie Guillem and Akram Khan. Sylvie Guillem is perhaps the world's most celebrated ballerina, now Principal Guest Artist at the Royal Ballet of London. She has been invited to perform by some of the world's most prestigious companies, among which the Kirov theatre of St. Petersburg and the American Ballet Theatre of New York, well before she turned thirty. Akram Khan is the most acclaimed choreographer of his generation working in Britain today. A thirty-two year old Londoner of Bangladeshi descent, he has invented a style of dance that is distinctively contemporary and strongly informed by his classical kathak training. h21 www

11 and 12 Nov: Pichet Klunchun in "Shoes". Jérome Bel and Pichet Klunchun in "Pichet Klunchun and myself"
Two ways to conceive dance, art and the roles they have in life. The evening starts with Shoes, intense work in which Klunchun is the only interpreter. After a short break, Pichet Klunchun and myself, a conference-show involving two highly different artists in what is a suggestive and quick-fire exchange of ideas, the two artists, alternating impressions and opinions, end up discussing art, work, religion, life, death. To prove that the show does not develop solely onstage but above all in the minds of the spectators. A fascinating voyage between two cultures that can interact fluently in an incandescent magma that in the dance, and the ancient practice of it, find perennial regeneration. h21
From 15 to 18 Nov: Alain Platel, Wim Vandekeybus, Vera Mantero, Johanne Saunier, Caterina Sagna, Eric De Volder and Claudia Triozzi Nightshade in "Contemporary Performing Artists Choreograph Striptease Acts"
A show whose intent is to observe striptease as a form of dance, as an erotic dance that evokes the game of seduction and beauty through the nude and provoking bodies of the performers, to stimulate among the public an aesthetic approach that does not comply with rules. The original music is by the composer Ad Cominotto who by working closely with the choreographers has succeeded in creating for each specific tunes that will be performed by Emanon Ensemble. h21
From 23 to 25 Nov: Gao Yanjinzi, Luo Lili and Liu Sola (Beijing Modern dance Company) in "Jue"
The leading dancer and choreographer at the Beijing Modern Dance Company, Gao Yanjinzi performs alongside her mother Luo Lili - a dancer since 1976 - in Jue, a show in which tradition and modernity as well the generation of the Cultural Revolution and that of contemporary China are brought together on stage. The outcome is also the confrontation of two languages of dance: from rigid academic discipline to the conquest of expressive freedom. h21
