A comic opera in two acts based on the libretto by Jules-Henri Vernoy de Saint-Georges and Jean-Francois Bayard. The music is by a great composer who answers to the name of Gaetano Donizzetti. The cast is exceptional and includes Carmela Remigio, alternating in her role with Cinzia Forte; Tomislav Muzek, alternating in his role with Aldo Caputo; Alberto Rinaldi, Francesca Franci and, in the role of the Duchess of Krakenthorp, Anna Proclemer. From 26 to 30 May: NIJINSKJI - FOKINE
A soirée of great dance. The first piece is "Petruska", a burlesque in four acts set to music by Igor Stravinsky. The choreography is by Michel Fokine and the scenery and costumes by Alexandre Benois. The second ballet, "L'aprés midi d'un faune" is by Debussy and boasts the participation of star dancer Carla Fracci, who is dancing together with George Jancu. "Jeux" is another piece by Debussy, a poem set to dance in one act that also sees Carla Fracci as its main protagonist. Igor Stravinsky's "Firebird" closes this soirée with choreography by Michel Fokine and a cast including Irma Nioradze, Mario Marozzi, Gaia Straccamore and Manuel Paruccini. Marcello Panni conducts.
