3 Dec: Concerto di Natale in Vaticano (Vatican Christmas Concert)
A concert from which all proceeds will be given to missions in South
East Asia. The cast will be made up of the Benedict Gospel Choir from
Columbia and the Chicago High Spirit, Paul Anka, Dolores O'Riordan,
Daniela Mercury and Miriam Makeba. Italian performers will include Claudio
Baglioni, Riccardo Cocciante, Gigi D'Alessio and Negramaro. Alex Britti,
Mango, Nicky Nicolai and Stefano Di Battista Quartet and Dolcenera will
also sing in favour of the missionary vocations. The artists will perform
Christmas songs and their own hits arranged by concertmaster Renato

Riz Ortolani has written unforgettable soundtracks to unforgettable
Italian films. In this concert he conducts the Teatro dell'Opera's choir
and orchestra in pieces such as "Fratello sole sorella Luna",
"Il sorpasso", "Mondo cane" and "Il cuore altrove".
Also worth noting is the orchestra's performance of two rediscovered
and reconstructed Rossellini pieces that had gone lost, "Roma città
