Soprano Edita Gruberova's performance under the baton of Vladimir Jurowski
is part of the Accademia di Santa Cecilia's rich symphonic season. Pieces
by Mozart and Strauss will be performed, such as the Overture to "Figaro's
Wedding", "Martern aller Arten", an aria from "The
Abduction from the Seraglio", and the "Grande scena di Zerbinetta",

perform "Graduation Ball", based on music by Johann Strauss
Jr. and with the choreography of David Lichine. The second half of the
show is dedicated to Camille Saint-Saëns' "The Carnival of

Paola Iorio directs the students of the Opera's Dance School in "Viaggio
verso il sole", a musical fable created by Rosa Stipo and set to

From 2 Apr to 11 Jun: Cori sull' Aventino (Choirs on the Aventine Hill)
This event is organised in collaboration with the European Commission
- Representation in Italy, and for the past 19 years has enabled us
to appreciate enchanting choral performances inside the splendid churches
located on one of Rome's seven historic hills. Each soirée will
include the participation of two or more Italian or international choirs
that will either perform a cappella or with the instrumental accompaniment
