Apertura del museo Carlo Bilotti (Opening of the Carlo Billotti Museum in the Villa Borghese Orange House)
Rome's town hall has once again offered a great gift to art aficionados by restoring the former Casino dei Giochi d'acqua in Villa Borghese. The building was damaged at the end of the 1800s during the French invasion, losing in this way its decorative elements, and was then subsequently rebuilt and transformed to stock citrus fruit. Now the Aranciera hosts the collection of Italian American art collector Carlo Billotti, inluding works by De Chirico, Andy Warhol, Giacomo Manzù and Larry Rivers; important works that are being given prominence in this impressive new exhibition space.
