After the success of its first ever edition the Film Festival is back and takes place in the city's Auditorium and a number of other locations in the city centre and in the suburbs. The festival will show a large selection of the best new films but will also feature exhibitions, concerts, meetings, literature and fashion-related events. The Marco Aurelio Prize will see a jury made up of fifty cinema-goers of all ages award the best male actor, the best female actor and the Special Jury Prize. This year some major names are expected; among which Meryl Streep who will be presenting her film "Rendition" and Halle Berry" whose film, "Things we lost in the fire", is being shown at the festival.

The banking sector proves once again this year that it is an active protagonist in the artistic field. The headquarters of various Italian banking institutes open their doors to the citizens, allowing them to admire the immense artistic and cultural heritage inside them. From ancient ceramic pieces to contemporary art installations, visitors will be able to admire 2,500 years of history of art in these exquisite palazzos. From 4 to 22 Oct: Mondi Animati. Festa dell'animazione e del fumetto (Mondi Animati. Animated Cartoon Festival)
An event that pays tribute to cartoons, dance, the visual arts and cinema and celebrates the merging of these various artistic media. The various sections of the programme will take place in different locations around the city. Those particularly worthy of mention are: the performances by the BDanse company that highlight the profound relation between cartoons and body language; the cinema section showing feature films and shorts from France and Quebec that combine cartoon and animation; and finally the sessions with Régis Loisel and Gilles Chaillet.
