Piazza San Lorenzo in Lucina
Palazzo Fendi, via di Fontanella Borghese
Until 15 Dec: Romaeuropa Festival www
The 2007 RomaEuropa Festival, Rome's annual appointment with the international arts, hosts music, dance, theatre and the visual arts. It is a bridge between cultures and diverse artistic performances from the north of the globe. Baricco is the only Italian in this year's programme. His theatre version of "Moby Dick" sees the participation of Stefano Benni, Paolo Rossi and Clive Russel. Other artists at this year's Romaeuropa Festival include Akram Khan, Emanuel Gat, Zuhe Niao, Tan Dun, Julien Bruneau, Paul-André Fortier and Crystal Pite. "Una generazione avanti" or One generation forward is this year's motto. Most opportune.

Palazzo dei Congressi, piazza J. Kennedy, 1. Info 0654513705

Thrillers, murder stories, poetry and narrative are all featured, and new in 2007 are interactive blogs, children's books and digital material. "Più libri più liberi": for those who know that black ink on a white page can arouse great emotions. Thu 6 Dec h10-20; fri 7 and sat 8 Dec h10-21; sun 9 Dec h10-20. €6, reduced €2,50

Mattatoio di Testaccio
Until 2 Dec: Enzimi 2007. Talents out!
New artistic languages and trends come together in "Enzimi" during a fantastic five-day festival brimming with ideas and different forms of expression. A hybrid event that does away with the categorisation of genres, Enzimi articulates itself through various projects with great freedom and openness. It focuses on music, artistry and multimedia (thanks to the geographical distances that internet erases) in Italy and other major capitals such as London, Madrid and New York. Enzimi celebrates its 12th birthday this year and this birthday that marks a break with the past though the festival continues to dedicate itself entirely to discovering and promoting underground and new talent. Extra features include psycho-geographic games, DJ sets and micro-music live performances, 10-minute talk shows... Enzimi 2007: spazi urbani per talenti pubblici (urban spaces for public talents). www

Various venues, città di Roma
Until 16 Mar 2008: Luci dell'Arte (Lights of Art)
