Until 27 Aug: L'estate di Raffaello (The Summer of Raphael)
A series of initiatives designed to accompany the exhibition dedicated to Raphael, one of the greatest Italian artists of all times. Villa Borghese park will host the "Daveriade" ; three conferences hosted by Philippe Daverio that will explore the real and complex nature of this very special artist. The Piazzale del Giardino Zoologico will screen a series of films in costume that will speak of the relationship between past and present. Films like 'Amadeus' and 'The Merchant of Venice' will be screened at 21.30. Finally, "La macchina de tempo" (The Time Machine) is a multi-lingual open-top bus tour that will visit all the places where the great Raphael left his mark in Rome, such as Piazza Navona, the Quirinal Palace, St Peter's and the Colosseum www

Until 17 Sep: Approdo alla lettura (Get Hooked on Reading)
The Roman coast will host a 120 day marathon of events with "Approdo alla lettura" in Ostia. A series of initiatives in the summer will revolve around the undisputed protagonist of the event, the book, and showcasing of emerging authors. The Pontile in Ostia will host exhibits, entertainment for children, theatre, large-screen televisions for World Cup matches, concerts, dance schools, and PlayStation tournaments.
