The Rome International Photography Festival is back for the sixth year under the direction of Marco Delogu and offers, as ever, an extraordinary concentration of individual and collective exhibitions by contemporary photographic masters. The 2007 edition aims to explore what is going on in Italy and is divided in three sections: photography as research and reflection in synergy with artistic languages; landscape photography; photo-reportage (an area of photography that is currently being redefined and a subject of great debate). From 5 to 9 Apr: Rome is full of surprises this Easter
Rome hosts an array of events and initiatives to make Easter special. Choose from theatre, readings, recitals, poetry, dance, performance art, games and activities for children, and mark this occasion in a traditional yet innovative way in Rome's many arts venues. Free entrance for all events is offered in the city's municipal arts 'houses', apart from the Casa del jazz (House of Jazz) where entrance will cost €5. The city museums will also provide free entrance to these initiatives (until places run out), while the Museo Bilotti and the Centrale Montemartini archaeology museum requires that an entrance ticket to the venue is bought.

Six days of feature films, shorts and documentaries from Italy and the rest of the world. Opening this year's festival is the film "Sweet, Sweet Marja", a comedy by Roman director Angelo Frezza and presented to the audience by two of its cast members, Maria Grazia Cucinotta and Marco Messeri.
